Audit and up
Google Analytics and Search Console
What your audit already checks about Google Analytics and Search Console, using your public homepage and your setup answers.
Who it's for
These checks run in every audit on the Audit, Growth and Managed plans. They are for owners who want to know if their site counts visitors and if Google Search Console is set up.
How to use it
- Look at the Connections page. Open Connections in the left menu. The Google Analytics (GA4) row is marked "Arriving later." You can't link your Analytics account yet.

- Check A1 in your audit. Open your latest audit and go to the "Analytics & ads" checks. A1, "Your site counts its visitors," looks at your homepage code. It passes when it finds a Google Analytics 4 tag, a Tag Manager tag, or another visitor counter such as Plausible or Matomo.

- Check A2 for Search Console. A2, "Google Search Console is set up," passes when your homepage has Google's site check tag. If it doesn't, the audit uses your answer to "Is your site verified in Google Search Console?" You give that answer when you add your business. You can change it under Edit business.

What you'll see
Each row shows pass, partial or fail, with the proof the audit found. A1 shows partial when only an old Universal Analytics tag is on the page. A failed row comes with a fix and a "How to fix" link. Both checks count toward your score from the next audit after you change your site or your answer.

What it doesn't do
- EchoPilot doesn't link to your Google Analytics account. It reads no visits, sales or reports from it.
- EchoPilot doesn't link to Search Console. It reads no search terms, clicks or page data from Google.
- A1 only reads your homepage. It doesn't check that every page has the tag, or that the tag sends data.
- Nothing here is stored from your Google accounts, because nothing is linked.
