Approval flow and export
What Growth and Managed draft each month, how approval works, and how approved content leaves EchoPilot (download, the browser extension, and on Managed posting on the accounts you connect).
Updated
EchoPilot audits, explains and drafts. Nothing reaches a channel without a person approving it. On Managed, approved posts go out on the Facebook Page or LinkedIn you connect; everything else you post yourself. This article covers what each plan drafts, how approval works and how approved content leaves the app.
What the plans draft
The plan matrix is one table that the pricing page, the billing page and the worker all read:
- Growth: 12 drafted posts a month across 2 channels chosen for your business from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Google Business, on /app/content. Each channel pick shows why it was chosen.
- Managed: 24 drafted posts a month across 4 channels, plus 4 Google Business update drafts a month on /app/posts and reply drafts for the reviews you import on /app/reviews (up to a daily number of new drafts; the rest are drafted on the following days).
- Audit: no content drafting.
A month's posts are drafted once the business has a completed audit, from the audit's findings, the latest memo and your brand voice. Next month's drafts arrive a week before it starts, so there is time to read them. The voice is first read from your own site; you can edit it at /app/voice (tone, sentence length, emoji, words to keep or avoid, topics, how you ask people to act), and list the competitors a draft must never name.
Every draft passes the same checks before you see it: the claim guard (no promised rankings, leads or results), facts only from your details (no invented phone numbers, addresses, offers or links), the channel's rules (length, hashtags, alt text, links only where the channel allows them and only to your own site, and each link must open), no profanity, no competitor names from your list, no medical, legal or financial claims, no engagement bait, contests or remarks about the reader's health or finances, and nothing too close to a draft from the last 90 days. A draft that fails is written again with the reason, at most twice; if it still fails, it is held back for review and never offered for approval.
How approval works
Each draft can be edited, approved or rejected, or you can approve all of a month's pending drafts at once. Approving re-runs the checks on the text as it stands (your own wording included), and records who approved it, when, and a fingerprint of the exact text approved. Editing an approved draft puts it back to draft, and an approval only counts for the text it was given, so an edited text has to be approved again. There is no setting that turns approval off (terms §7).
You get an email when a month's drafts are ready (on Managed also a Telegram message, and a drafts.ready event for your webhooks), and a reminder three days before the month ends if some are still waiting. Drafts not approved by the last day of their month expire: they stay visible, greyed out, and never enter a download.
If you downgrade, drafts above the new plan's quota are marked "unavailable on tier" rather than released.
How approved content leaves EchoPilot
- Download (Growth and Managed). On /app/content, the month's approved posts within your plan download as Markdown, CSV or a calendar file (.ics, one all-day reminder per post on its suggested date), with the hashtags, photo idea and alt text. Each approved draft also has a copy button. You post them yourself.
- Browser extension (Managed). On your Google listing, the browser extension lists the approved replies and updates for that business and fills one into Google's form; you read it and click Post. The extension records that it was posted.
- Posting on your connected accounts (Managed). Connect a Facebook Page or LinkedIn on /app/integrations; the connection runs through Zernio, our posting provider (terms §17.3), which holds the access to the account. Facebook will ask you to approve 'Social Media Connector', the app Zernio uses; choose 'current Pages only' and tick just the Page you want EchoPilot to post to. LinkedIn will likewise ask you to approve the app Zernio uses. Facebook's screen lists broader Page permissions than EchoPilot uses, including Messenger conversations: EchoPilot only publishes the drafts you approve and reads their publish status; it does not read or send messages. Each approved draft for that channel is then scheduled for its suggested date at 10:00 in your business's timezone. On /app/content each draft shows its state: scheduled (with the time and account), posted (with a link), failed (with the reason), or manual when no account is connected for its channel. You can change the time or cancel the scheduling until it goes out; editing or rejecting a scheduled draft takes it back. Just before a draft is handed over it is checked again (approval, plan, trial, account, the same content checks); if anything fails, or the platform refuses it (LinkedIn, for example, refuses text it has already seen), it is not posted, it stays approved for you to copy or download, and you get one email saying why. Instagram, X and TikTok are not posted from EchoPilot.
- During a free trial you can draft, edit and approve, but the download, the extension queue and posting open with the first paid invoice (terms §5.7).
Posting to Google through the Business Profile API waits for Google to approve EchoPilot's access; the extension is the way approved Google Business replies and updates reach Google until then.
